Student Wellbeing Programs
Cooking
Once a week children from the senior unit are part of the cooking program. Ten students spend a term cooking on a weekly basis with the wellbeing coordinator and a staff member from the senior unit. This involves deciding on a recipe, some children shopping for ingredients, cooking and serving a meal. This has proved an invaluable exercise, with the children learning many important life skills.

Vegetable Garden
Our school has a vegetable garden that promotes healthy eating attitudes, exposure to new tastes and a sense of community and sharing the planting, care, harvesting and cooking are overseen by enthusiastic staff members and student environment leaders.
Marjory Cole Visits
Once a fortnight our junior school councillors walk to Marjory Cole hostel to spend time with the elderly residents there. These fortnightly visits are very successful in developing relationships, promoting social skills and developing a sense of civic responsibility.
Breakfast Club
A Breakfast Club is available on Tuesday to Friday. Children receive a healthy breakfast of toast, fruit, cereal, fruit juice and Milo. Breakfast will be served from 8.15 through to the bag bell at 8.35am. It is important we adhere to these times, to ensure all children are in class on time.
